How to Begin to Witness

Do not be afraid any longer, but go on speaking and do not be silent;  for I am with you...    Acts 18:9-10

Timothy Abraham Ministries

Let us do it wisely.

Don't talk about me (Timothy) as I am the traitor in their eyes and instead talk about God in general for a beginning and about the common things that link Islam and Christianity:

We all believe in the goodness of God, his justice, his mercy, etc. All these attributes of God.

Move from what is general to what is specific: what does Christ have to say on all of this?

Does he radiate the glory of God?

Brother, don't preach or lecture

but instead eat with them and drink a lot of tea and laugh and relax and ask questions.

Stir them to think.

Stimulate their minds.

Prayerfully seek to intercede and see their hearts gravitate towards the person of Jesus, who is meek and lowly at heart.

Again, don't preach.

Just chat one on one and get them interest.

Do more listening compassionately than talking.

Pray as you share with them. You can do both.

Don't speak about the Lord unless he tells you it is "time" to speak and be silent when it is time to be silent.

But they see your piety and devotion to the Lord and this is what will win them over.

Immerse yourself in prayer and intercession.

And know that I am your servant, Brother,

and I am ready to do whatever it takes to be of help to you in your ministry.

Do it all joyfully.

Rejoice in your God. Muslims need to see that in you.

Feel free to ask me any questions dear brother and I am open to talking with you via Skype if you ever want.

I am proud of you.

You are my hero for seeking the souls of humanity that doesn't know Christ:

Jesus thirsts for the souls of Muslims and His heart burns for their salvation. Hence his cry: I am thirsty.

Your friend and brother,  Timothy

For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives, so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light. Colossians 1:9-12

Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ.  Ephesians 4:15
